I Am Pure Awareness

I am that by which I know I am - Sri Nisargadutta Maharaj

When each one of us refer to ourselves as I, actually this reference it to the awareness in each one of us. I denotes awareness, I represents awareness or consciousness. I am refers to presence or beingness. I or I am is the name or reference from 1st person perspective. Only those who know themselves can name themselves; that which knows itself can name itself. What is it in us that knows ourselves? It is the knowingness or awareness itself, it is that which knows itself. Therefore, the Knowledge I or I am is attributable to or refers to awareness.  The word I only and always refers to awareness. Its knowledge of itself. I am is prior to all experiences.

Pure awareness, the pure I am is infinite, unbounded, limitless, timeless, uncaused, presence.in all beings. This boundless Awareness shines in each one of us as I am presence. This knowledge of pure I am, is a sacred light reflects in everybody without discrimination, a king or a beggar, sage or atheist. There is only one aware I am, which the Universal Essence, the Eternal Truth, Self, Presence, Being that is reflected in each one of us as I am and appears as many.

Deep down in the essence of our Self, we are from God. God is Truth, True life our True Being - Mooji

Pure I am awareness in each one of us is the same infinite indivisible awareness which is filtered through individual minds and appears as the diversity and multiplicity of individual selves.  But in the Essence, in the core reality it never ceases to be the single indivisible being. Creation appears as many but the Ultimate Truth is nondual essence of existence, the substratum. Multiplicity and diversity, variety and difference is an illusion I am is that essence of Eternal Reality.

The sun shines down, and its image reflects in a thousand different pots filled with water. There are many, but they are each reflecting the same sun. Similarly, when we come to know who we truly are, we will see ourselves in all people.” ― Mata Amritanandamayi

It took time for this knowledge to assimilate to really absorb and soak my understanding. It happened one day, a shocking experience it seemed like head cracked. That day the truth really struck as lightening tears flowing I realized that it is consciousness presence looking out through the eyes and face. It shattered the personality and identity residing there.  Since then, there no internal or external, headless, faceless body with open space. Something lit up in that open area like a light a lamp. It feels like there is a flame in place of the head, neck, and upper body space constantly burning illuminating. The idea, the mental image of my appearance.is declining, fading out, I do not recognize the reflection in the mirror it is a stranger looking out from the mirror at this, whatever this is. Also realized that there is no seeing or watching, but it is the flame illuminating all phenomenon in the field of awareness which seems as someone looking through the eyes. Fantastic experience!!!

If everything around seems dark, look again, you may be the light. - Rumi

Grace beyond Ego

If you are renewed by grace, and were to meet your old self, I am sure you would be very anxious to get out of his company. ― Spurgeon C. H.

Seeking, Awakening to the truth and Self-realization, is a combination of movement of Grace and Ego.

A character in a movie appears to be putting in effort to achieve something great. As long as we are watching the movie, we totally believe it to be true and identify with the character and the character’s efforts, struggles, victory and failures. In reality it is an illusion, a story narrated by the script writer and personified by the actors.

Most often, the actor takes all credit and may be awarded for the performance and the writer is completely overshadowed and never known.

Thoughts On Suffering

Atman is the ever present reality. Yet, because of ignorance it is not realized. On destruction of ignorance Self is realized. - Sri. Adi Shankaracharya

Thousands of thoughts run through our mind every day. Some of them are helpful, and some of them aren’t.

Never take your thoughts too seriously or you will get into trouble- though I have knew this rationally but I practiced just the opposite. I believed in my thoughts very seriously particularly those which were drilled ingrained into me by my family and community consciously and unconsciously.
