We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves. ~ Buddha
Everything in our reality comes from thoughts. We live
in a world of thought projections. Ideas about me, others, world,
opinions, beliefs, interpretations, experiences, objects, spirituality, God etc
are thoughts.
Thoughts are movement in consciousness that are
temporary appearances. Thoughts control
your life. If you are focusing on the wrong things, then you’ll become
miserable and unhappy. Our thoughts create our experiences, and thus, we
experience what we think. Hence, the quality of our thoughts determine the quality
of our life.
There are many theories on the origin but it is not
known they just pop up and disappear as words, images, voices from all around.
They are empty in nature, meaningless, neutral, illusory they just pass by
apparently inside our head. Grabbing, labelling and dwelling on them feeds them
with energy and aliveness, it blow them out of proportion into monsters makes
them a reality.
All that we are is the result of what we
have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become. -Buddha
Thoughts are not facts, they are impermanent unless
there is identification and association with them. Our thoughts become beliefs,
and beliefs become the way you interpret reality. Even the idea of I, me, an
individual, a person is a thought formation, a fantasy. Constant identification
with thoughts and conditioned belief creates a phantom person, the ego self who
appears to be thinking, having opinions, ideas, desires, etc. Nevertheless, the
fact is there is no person thinking, the assumed person is another thought. A
thought thinks as a person eventually is caught in its own cycle of
self-feeding undesirable states.
The mind is compelling and convincing will trick us
into believing that everything it tells is true and important. Happy, sad
thoughts, fearful, hate, love shame, guilt are only thoughts, they aren’t facts,
they are unreal and mean nothing. Thoughts control life, focusing on the wrong
thinking then becomes source of suffering and misery. About 70% of the thoughts
are negative and they gain power with attention that energize them. Engaging
with thoughts trigger feelings and emotional states and is also expressed in
body, speech, and actions. Surrounded and lost in thoughts create anxiety,
OCDs, addictions dependencies and panic disorders.
Nothing can harm you as much as your own
thoughts unguarded. ~ Buddha
Meditation helps in becoming aware of thought patterns
stepping back and watching the mind gives space to choose right thoughts and
also recognize the empty nature and causes of thoughts. Otherwise, life will be
on auto pilot controlled by mind that can be like a wild beast attacking from
all sides, unwholesome states of mind and self-perpetuating thoughts.
The greater part of human pain is unnecessary. It is self-created as
long as the unobserved mind runs your life. –Eckhart Tolle
🙏May all beings be freed from the illusion of the world of thoughts and awaken to their true nature.
